ABSTRACT
Since increasing the density of parts in different methods of producing ceramics (including dry and wet methods), it is necessary to reach the physical and mechanical properties. In this research, the effect of pressing of alumina raw material produced by slurry casting method Pressure to increase the density of parts was studied. In a novel method, the pressing operation was carried out using conventional single-clamping and quasi-pouring methods in several types of molds with different dimensional tolerances than the primary raw material. 2% increase in crude density, 0.8% increase in final density and 5 gpaP Increase in hardness of pressed parts in molds with zero tolerance indicates the success of this method. It was expected that the density of the manufactured parts by performing pressing operations in molds with a larger dimensional tolerance with the ability to modify the lateral form could have a positive effect on increasing the density of the raw material. Despite the fact that raw raw materials seemed completely healthy, microscopic images showed that muffin cracks were produced in crude samples. This caused the loss of density and hardness in the pressed parts of the pseudo-pouring quill as compared to the single-step method.
INTRODUCTION
Despite the fact that the dry methods of producing ceramics (such as single dip presses and isostatic dry press drying) are still one of the simplest and least costly methods, but it is unclear to anyone that the new methods, unlike all the costs to the manufacturer, Due to better physical and mechanical properties and the ability to produce complex shapes in traditional and engineering ceramic manufacturing industries, special attention is being paid. The use of an intermediate fluid between powder particles can be very useful in breaking the agglomerates and homogenizing the final structure. The creation of new repulsion forces, the reduction of friction and nonagglomeration, and the better and better fitting of powder particles alongside each other during the production process, in order to make the primary raw material more dense than dry methods. Also, by carefully controlling the production conditions, the uniform distribution of cavities in the raw material can be achieved. Increasing the density of the parts and distributing the cavity and the uniformity of the cavity provides a more suitable condition for the fragmentation of the powdered parts. However, the production of engineering ceramics, with the help of more advanced techniques, can not meet the manufacturer’s needs as it should and possibly provide.
