ABSTRACT
Generally, calcareous stones consist of 35% to 35% stratigraphic sections. These rocks are diverse in mineralogy, and the amount of lime in them, which has been replaced by succession or crystallization, varies. Calcareous stones can be classified based on their texture or sediment conditions. In this project, samples of four types of lime, marble, travertine and dolomite are prepared. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of construction and texture of limestone rocks on their physical and mechanical properties. To determine the physical and mechanical properties of calcareous rock samples, several experiments have been carried out on them. Thin sections of calcareous specimens were prepared and analyzed under a microscope. Finally, the results of the experiments related to the physical and mechanical properties of the samples are justified based on the results of thin sections analysis. The results show that the dimensions of calcium carbonate crystals and the distribution method and the porosity dimensions of the calcareous rock rocket have a significant effect on their resistance and modulus of elasticity.
INTRODUCTION
Different methods exist for the classification of limestone and dolomite, for example, which can be categorized according to the presence or absence of carbonate flowers using sedimentary tissue, and the folk classification based on the constituent parts of the face Has taken, named. In this report, two Folk and Nahan divisions have been considered. In the classification of Nahmam, there are three textural properties for the classification of carbonate rocks using their sedimentary tissue, which are characterized by the following three factors, respectively:
1. The presence or absence of a carbonate flower that causes the disparity and distinction of granular carbonate rocks. It is worth noting that in this division, for the differentiation of flowers and seeds, the size of the diameter of the seeds is considered, and the word “grain” refers to seeds of diameter greater than 20 microns and flowers to beans with a diameter of less than 20 microns. 2. Relative proportions of grains that divide goli carbonate rocks into subdivisions such as Madstone, Weston and Pakston. 3. The presence of symbols related to the bonding and cementation during sedimentation, which indicates bandstone. (Binding) The difference between Pecton and Weston is usually determined by the presence of Mud-Support and Grain-Support materials.
