ABSTRACT
Due to the increasing expansion of shell structures in various industries such as coastal, offshore and aerospace structures, the importance of these structures is not covered by engineers. Cylindrical cone joints are generally used in pressure vessels or as reductors in pipelines. When the connection of the cone to the cylinder is placed under the internal pressure, the cross-section along the annular axis is affected by stressed stresses, and often the failure occurs in the buckling. While it is possible to increase the local thickness, in the cone and in the cylinder, sometimes it is better to use circular stiffeners to reinforce the cross section. So far, very limited work has been done on this hard-core device under the pressure of internal pressure shells. This paper examines the experimental and buckling behavior theory of connecting the cone to a cylinder with a hardener under the pressure of internal pressure. Incomplete geometric effects, failure behavior, and buckling behavior are compared using the results of nonlinear analysis of buckling (Modified Riks) with experimental results. Observing the properties of materials and geometric and load incomplete, the buckling behavior obtained from nonlinear analysis with the results from which the experiments were obtained can be easily compared. In these species, the structure, although inefficient in determining the buckling behavior, is not effective in determining the buckling load. The results of the experiments were compared with the proposed design relationships. It can be said that these relationships determine conservatively the collapse rate.
INTRODUCTION
The silos of solids and liquids, as well as the cone reducer, are composed of tubes with different diameters for fluids, generally consisting of two main cylindrical and conical sections. The point of the intersection between the cones and the connecting cylinder and the section formed by the crustal parts is called the connecting section. The cylindrical conical connecting sections under the internal pressure are exerted by a large compressive force that results from a tensile horizontal component in the cone. Therefore, to reinforce the cross-section of the loop or to increase the thickness of the wall, the shell wall is used at the connection point.
