ABSTRACT
Because of the wide-ranging concerns associated with the stability of sediments, there are gas gases, the replacement and proper selection of production sites, as well as offshore drilling rigs, are heavily influenced by the geomechanical behavior of these structures. This situation is exacerbated by the use of natural gas from these reservoirs and further studies are needed to more accurately assess possible problems and problems. There is currently no deep understanding of thermohydromechanical properties of these types of reservoirs, especially in marine environments. So, with a look at the studies in this field, the mechanical instability of sediments has always been an attempt to use engineers to use specific strategies for selecting offshore platforms or landing drill rigs. In this paper, we have tried to introduce the problems and geomechanical problems caused by the process of gas production and the instability of gas hydrates such as: blasting density, ground subsidence, instability and mechanical breakdown of wells, fracturing of tubular tubes and … Appropriate solutions for analyzing these issues.
INTRODUCTION
Gas hydrates were first introduced to the oil and gas industry by Humphrey Drury in 1111. Gas gases contain water molecules that are joined together in a crystalline structure. These materials are hosted by nonpolar or polar molecules that are relatively large and have strong connections in the crystalline network. These interconnections provide relatively high strength and stability in the structure of gaseous hydrates. Gas hydrates are stable under high pressure and low temperatures, and are found mainly in oceanic areas at depths greater than 0.03 m or in frozen polar regions. Although several estimates have already been made of the total amount of energy present in gas hydrates worldwide, public consensus is based on the belief that these reserves can be of great importance for the supply of energy with a minimum amount of environmental pollution in the future.
