ABSTRACT
The use of synthetic fibers provided optimal mixing can be a suitable method for soil reloading. In this research, the mechanical properties of polypropylene-reinforced polypropylene specimens have been investigated by uncontrolled triangular (UU) trials and by saturation of samples. The results showed that addition of fibers with random arrangement increased the maximum compressive strength and deposition of kaolinite clay. In general, increasing the length and percentage of the fibers, in part, increases the compressive strength and the shape of the armed samples. By adding fibers up to 0.2%, we see an increase in the ductility of the samples, and with increasing fiber percent, the ductility decreases. Also adding fiber to 0.3% increases the angle of internal friction and adhesion coefficient and adding fiber amount to more than this amount, respectively, decreases and increases, the friction angle and adhesion coefficient, respectively.
INTRODUCTION
More than 3000 years ago, the Babylonians used aristocratic soil, so that during the period the use of soil and straw as a material was commonplace. The origin of the thought of armed soil can be found in natural specimens and patterns, for example, many animals, especially birds, in their nests, mix the components of the plants with flowers, or slopes with steep slopes with the growth of car plants that rooted in the ground versus Slip and instability are fixed. In fact, the concept of soil propagation in the addition of soil-resistant elements to improve its mechanical properties is summarized, which itself should have high tensile strength, low creep and long life in the soil to achieve optimal performance. Today, the use of artificial fibers for soil reloading is a practical way to increase the resistance and soil bearing capacity. Past studies and studies have shown that the use of fibers greatly improves the performance of soils under static and dynamic loads.
