ABSTRACT
In this research, the effect of casting pressure (140, 100, 70,0 MPa) and casting temperature (750,800 ˚C) and thermal treatment of T6 on microstructure, density, hardness and porosity of components of AA2024 alloy have been investigated. After casting, the parts were subjected to dissolution at 490 ° C and then stood at 190 ° C for 16 hours. The results show that increasing the pressure and reducing the casting temperature increases the hardness of the parts and decreases the gap between dendritic and porosity. Also, by decreasing the casting temperature, the density of the samples is increased compared to the higher casting temperature at low pressures, and with increasing the applied pressure this difference is compensated and the distance between dendritic also decreases with the casting temperature.
INTRODUCTION
Grinding casting is a casting economic process in which molten metal is solidified under direct pressure and, unlike other casting techniques, there are no gas porosity and freezing. This process is a combination of forging in the form of packing and pressure casting, which is called blacksmithing of molten metal, chopping shaping, extruding casting and pressure crystallization. In fact, by combining these two processes, one can improve the imperfections of each of the methods to a certain extent and create a molded process for melt solidification. The important parameters in this process are the amount of molten, the casting temperature, the instrument temperature, the stop time, The applied pressure range, the pressure applied time and the lubricant are used. According to the pressure method, this type of casting is divided into two direct and indirect hollow castings. In the direct method, the pit is directly in contact with the melt forming part and the pressure is applied more uniformly to the melt. However, in the indirect method, in addition to the space forming part of a barrage platform, the actual molten method is used in this method, but the accuracy of the initial charge weighing is not necessary.
