ABSTRACT
In this paper, we compare the types of commonly used active control of the structures, which include: status feedback control, shift control control and feedback acceleration. To do this, following a brief overview of the main relationships of each of the control methods mentioned, these methods have been applied to a number of shear structures. By performing dynamic analysis, relative displacement and relative displacement for each structure are calculated according to different earthquakes, and by applying any of the control methods, the structures are controlled. Comparing the results shows the superiority of the alternate feedback control method compared to other control methods.
INTRODUCTION
In recent years, with the advancement of science and technology, the introduction of new methods for strengthening structures against environmental forces, and in particular the earthquake, have also taken effective steps forward, which is an active structural control, among them. The reasons for the researchers’ tendency to discuss active control can be as follows: a. Reducing the vibrational level of flexible structures against environmental loads. B) Reinforcement of existing structures against dynamic loads; c. Protecting sensitive and expensive equipment in structures that are operationally important after an earthquake; • The idea of active control of structural concepts from stagnant to staged Dynamic and Applicable. The initial references to an active controlled structure are contained in Zuk [1-3] (1968), in which “kinetic structures” are presented. He distinguishes between active control designed to reduce structural motion and systems that move in the structure. According to research, soong was the first attempt to actively control the response of structures to the 1960s, suggesting the use of pre-tandem tandems to control and stabilize long structures. Other attempts were made by Minai, Kobori, in 1960, and they also conveyed the concept of dynamic smart buildings that responded to severe activated earthquakes. In 1969 Nordell proposed another type of active control system. In the event of extreme loads on the structure, the strength of the structure will be increased by the addition of some resistant members.
