ABSTRACT
In this paper, the effect of step length on the efficiency of blind adaptive weighing algorithms is investigated. In simulations carried out for signal to different noise, in two situations with interfering (5 and 2 interfering) and without interfering (only noise), the effect of step length changes on the efficiency of the fixed-voltage algorithm is derived from the criteria of BER and NMSE. Also, the effect of applying a step length step in improving the weighting process on antenna array elements has been investigated. Here, we use the two methods of comparative step length MASS and TAASS. The simulations carried out in this study show that with increasing the number of interactions that are required, the step length decreases. Also, by applying a comparative step length, significant improvement can be observed in performance criteria relative to the fixed step length. Among the two methods with a comparative step length, the TAASS method has better performance in all SNRs and, with increasing number of interferers, the difference in efficiency of these two methods is increased.
INTRODUCTION
With the increasing demand for wireless communications, the need for optimal use of available radio sources in order to achieve acceptable quality is felt more than ever. One of the best practices that has been considered in recent years is the use of comparative array antennas and intelligent antenna structures. The smart antenna refers to a set of array antennas connected to a digital processor and whose task is to adjust or improve the antenna radiation pattern in order to get the best signal and minimize the effect of interference signals. .
