ABSTRACT
In the present study, the melt rotation method on the Melt Spinning (Melt Spinning) was used to increase the speed of melt cooling and the production of strip shaped specimens in aluminum alloy A413.1. Then, the properties and structure obtained by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) atomic force microscope (AFM) X-ray diffraction (XRD) X microscope were studied. The results clearly show that the high rate of cooling in this method led to the creation of nano structures and as a result of improving the mechanical and physical properties of the resulting samples in comparison with the usual processes of casting. For example, the hardness obtained through freezing is about twice as high as conventional freezing methods.
INTRODUCTION
The control of freezing speed plays an important role in improving the structure of metals and therefore has a significant effect on mechanical properties. The rapid freezing process has begun and developed rapidly since about four decades ago, so today it has a wide range of applications in various industrial fields. In typical casting processes, the cooling rates are about 102 (K / s), and in some cases, even much slower. However, in fast freezing processes, the cooling rates are about 102 (K / s) to 108 (K / s). At higher scales, crystallization may be completely prevented. One way to achieve a rapid freezing rate on a laboratory scale is to rotate the melt onto the Melt Spinning block. In this method, the molten jet hits the surface of a rotating refrigerant and a tape with a production rate of several tens of meters per second can be produced continuously. The Melt Spinning method has more flexibility than other fast freezing methods. In this way, it can easily be achieved at a freezing speed of about 106 K / s and even higher.
