ABSTRACT
In this paper, the review of case studies in the field of exploration and production of gas hydrate sources in different parts of the world has been attempted to reduce the risk and economize the gas production processes from these reserves. The purpose of this article is to describe the general concepts related to gas hydrates, the activities required and the recommendations for the exploration and optimal management of gas extraction from hydrated deposits. Since processes associated with the exploration and exploitation of these energy-rich resources are always faced with the challenges and the need for an analysis of complicated and non-linear thermodynamic processes, having a profound understanding of these complexities is required to have sufficient knowledge of the spells and problems that Mostly it can be economical to extract gas from these reservoirs and to put it among the unconventional reservoirs. In this paper, in addition to providing general principles of the behavior of gas hydrates, discusses possible challenges in such cases as: technical and economic issues, exploratory studies, environmental studies, sampling of sediments containing gas hydrates and their analysis, The geomechanical analysis of the reservoir and the stabilization of the well walls, the design of the well, the provision of necessary measures to prevent the production of solid particles of rock during the production of gas in the well, monitoring the production processes, and geomechanical stability and laboratory research.
INTRODUCTION
Gas hydrates are commonly referred to as solid crystals of water and gas, which are generally provided with the chemical formula G • NH H2O. In this combination, the gas phase occupies the hydrate structure as the external matter of the interstellar spaces. Sediments containing gaseous hydrocarbons are found in terms of geographic location in two different environments where low temperature and high pressure conditions are available. These areas include polar regions or deeper sediments under the ocean floor (Kvenvolden, 1988). So far, extensive efforts have not been made to assess the global gas reserves of gas, estimating approximate volume of these reserves is estimated to be 1015 to 1018 m 3 in standard conditions.
