ABSTRACT
In this paper, we propose a new method for detecting an electric island in a distributed network with the presence of distributed generation sources (DGs) of the type of synchronous generator, which uses symmetric information of voltage and current for detecting. An unbalanced voltage that is obtained by dividing the negative sequence voltage into a positive sequence is used to identify any change in the network. In the case of an unbalanced voltage, the threshold is cut off, the non-equilibrium current, which is obtained by dividing the negative sequence sequence into a positive sequence, is calculated in order to detect the electric island. Due to the high impact of three-phase, two-phase and single-phase faults on voltage and current at the terminal, DG voltage field of the generator generator, as well as positive sequence impedance, is used to detect these errors from other network changes and islands. In this paper, simulation of the network and detection method using MATLAB / SIMULINK software, and the results have been analyzed and presented.
INTRODUCTION
One of the phenomena that has always been a source of distributed generation (DG) in the distribution network is islanding. Due to the high importance of this phenomenon, the IEEE 929 standard was published in 1988, requiring the cutting off of the DG. The need to exploit the network with the advent of the island led to the publication of the IEEE 1547 standard in 2003, which suggested a maximum of two seconds for the island’s detection. Different methods have been proposed for revealing the island, which in general can be divided into two categories of local and remote methods. The remote sensing method operates on the basis of telecommunications between the network and the distributed generation. Although this method has a higher reliability than local detection, its high cost and non-economic nature prevent it from expanding this approach.
