Nowadays in despite of the remarkable effort performed to achieve the safe industries, the occurrence of accidents and incidents (such as fire, explosion, and national heritage loss) is still increasing. These accidents lead to vast loss of life, personal injuries, and material lack. Thus pay attention to this case has an important and spatial position. Some methodologies have been developed for Accident investigation and analysis in some industries. Most of these methodologies have some problems such as spending many resources on unimportant events, human judgments and necessity of hypotheses existence in analysis. Most of those work based on creation and simulation of various accident scenarios and until now, no attempts have been accomplished to analyze the accident data. Even though, a vast amount of data have stored in companies database. Data mining knowledge with utilizing of many techniques can eliminate these deficiencies therewith covers other techniques advantages. This paper chooses the data mining and utilizes some of data mining techniques to propose a new accident investigation and risk analysis methodology. The methodology is named DMAA (data mining for accident analysis). This methodology with assigning type and order of suitable data mining techniques try to
identify and classify effective factors in incidents. Also clustering and classification of accidents,
identification of association rules and prediction accident type, all are result of this methodology
