ABSTRACT
One of the problems that may occur during power take-offs for power transformers is the short circuit winding fault. In the case of a short circuit short circuit fault, the fault current changes with respect to the short circuit. In this paper, a new method for simulating and detecting the internal fault of the transformer coil is presented. Due to the changes in line flow and the analysis of symmetric components (positive, negative, and zero sequences), a simple and accurate algorithm is obtained that can be used to simulate the internal fault of the transformer coil. On the other hand, information obtained in simulation has been used to determine the degree of damage to SIMPIX. This algorithm is presented for light and heavy errors and is simulated using MATLAB software, in which the error of light error due to electrical changes and heavy-duty error index depend on magnetic variations due to fault in the winding. Due to the simplicity of this method, unlike other methods, the amount of flow through the short circuit of the damaged winding, as well as the flow changes and the degree and severity of the damage to the winding, are easily and accurately obtained.
INTRODUCTION
One of the most important and expensive power equipment of the power grid is transformers, whose uninterrupted operation and its non-exiting from the network is one of the most important issues in power system reliability issues. In this regard, due to the continuous use of transformers, it is necessary that the equipment always protects against potential risks. Transformers are threatened and ultimately damaged by internal and external factors. Among these factors, it is possible to add additional voltages affecting transformers that can apply double stresses to insulators. It is worth noting that even the rated voltage and higher voltage, on their own, impose the electrical stress on the transformer / paper oil / oil insulators. In addition to the above, the thermal stresses caused by the types of losses and the temperature of the installation environment and mechanical and environmental stresses can also aggravate the transformer. The statistics show that most of the aging conditions of the transformers are due to the weakening of the paper / face oil insulating system. An increase in the gradient of the voltage and in addition to the thermal stress can lead to partial discharge in paper or oil.
