ABSTRACT
Types of soils are swollen when water is absorbed and after the loss of water they accumulate and expand. Substructures that are constructed on these soils are subjected to strong interaction forces due to swelling and cause the opening, slipping, and failure of the base components and slabs. In this study, to identify and correct the susceptibility of the swollen soils of Zabol, various soil samples from that plain were collected and inflationary tests were carried out on it. After identification of the swollen specimens, in later stages, an improvement procedure was performed on these samples by sensitivity analysis by changing the Atterberg limit by adding cement. By selecting the swellable soil and using a moisture stabilization method, sensitization analysis on its ductile fraction has been performed so that it reduces its baking strength to a steady state. The change in the Atterberg range is also done by adding cement to the soil. These steps are carried out with equal steps of adding cement so that the soil reaches the minimum potential for inflation and refinement.
INTRODUCTION
The dangers of volatile soils cause irreparable damage to life everywhere in the world. The financial losses of this phenomenon are usually twice as high as flood and landslides, as well as 20 times the earthquake. The main reason for this phenomenon is due to water absorbing minerals, such as Montmorrhinia, which accumulate when water is absorbed and swollen after water loss. In some places where the soil has been swollen, the content of Montmorrhizite has been reported to be between 40% and 80%, this upper limit of Montmorrhinia caused the bubble to be greater than 40 and 50. As noted above, increasing moisture causes swelling and the depth of the soil section, in which the change in humidity is carried out alternately, is known as an active region. The dangers of the instrument caused by this phenomenon are places where the soil is covered by the earth and the dry and wet chapters have gone through. The dry and wet chapters cause temperature changes and, consequently, cause the contraction and expansion of the soil, all of which causes soil erosion and chemical erosion. Changes in seasons, rainfall, and evaporation are factors that cause the soil to be affected by shrinkage and expansion cycles.
