The semantic web: a catalyst for future e-business

ABSTRACT

Purpose – This paper aims to advance research that portrays the semantic web as the future web where computer software agents can carry out sophisticated tasks for users. Design/methodology/approach – The paper discusses the major factors that affect the performance and reliability of information services for the web, namely the distribution of information, which has resulted from the globalization of information systems, the heterogeneity of information sources and the sources’ instability caused by autonomous evolution. Findings – Man stands at the threshold of being able to create the semantic web, in terms of declaratively representing objects that are already human-readable on the web. The next step is to make it the dynamic semantic web by encoding procedures in web material as first-class objects. Practical implications – Semantic web technology will work with extensible mark-up language, which will enable electronic commerce by: defining languages that provide support in defining, mapping, and exchanging product data; functioning from the development of standard ontology that will cover various business areas; and utilizing efficient translation services that will require areas of standard ontology. Originality/value – The paper tackles one of the most pressing issues of the creation of programs that collect web content, process the information and exchange the results with other programs from diverse sources.

INTRODUCTION

Research has indicted that the semantic web is the future web. Content on the internet will be structured so that computer software agents can carry out sophisticated tasks for users. The semantic web will promote the eventual creation of programs that collect web content from diverse sources, process the information and exchange the results with other programs. Business-to-business may become the most important application area of semantic web technology in terms of market volume within the next decade. In order for e-businesses to integrate their supply chains into semantic web technology to support the new web, business processes will have to be analyzed and retooled. New frameworks should be developed and information techniques updated to accommodate extensible markup language (XML). A large percentage of traditional supply chain management (SCM) will migrate to electronic-supply chain management, where web-enabled supply chain execution will be a necessity for any company or industry to survive.

چکیده

هدف – این مقاله به دنبال پیشرفت تحقیقاتی است که وب معنایی را به عنوان وب آینده ای که نمایندگان نرم افزارهای کامپیوتری می توانند وظایف پیچیده را برای کاربران انجام دهند را نشان می دهد. طراحی / روش شناسی / رویکرد – این مقاله در مورد عوامل اصلی که بر عملکرد و اطمینان خدمات اطلاعاتی برای وب تاثیر می گذارد، یعنی توزیع اطلاعات، که از جهانی شدن سیستم های اطلاعاتی، ناهمگونی منابع اطلاعاتی و منابع اطلاعاتی ناشی شده است، بی ثباتی ناشی از تکامل مستقل. یافته ها – انسان در آستانه توانایی ایجاد وب معنایی، از لحاظ نمایندگی از اشیاء که قبلا قابل خواندن انسان در وب است، ایستادگی می کند. گام بعدی این است که وب سایت معنایی پویا را با استفاده از روشهای رمزگذاری در مواد وب به عنوان اشیاء کلاس اول تبدیل کنیم. مفاهیم کاربردی – تکنولوژی وب معنایی با زبان نشانه گذاری قابل گسترش است که تجارت الکترونیک را با استفاده از: تعریف زبان هایی که در تعریف، نقشه برداری و تبادل اطلاعات مربوط به محصول پشتیبانی می کنند، کار می کنند. عملکرد از توسعه هستی شناسی استاندارد که زمینه های مختلف کسب و کار را پوشش می دهد؛ و استفاده از خدمات ترجمه موثر که به حوزه هستی شناسی استاندارد نیاز دارند. اصالت / ارزش – این مقاله بر روی یکی از مهم ترین مسائل ایجاد برنامه هایی که محتوای وب را جمع آوری می کنند، پردازش اطلاعات و تبادل نتایج با برنامه های دیگر از منابع متنوع را مورد توجه قرار می دهد.

مقدمه

تحقیقات ادعا می کنند که وب معنایی وب آینده است. محتوا در اینترنت ساختار خواهد بود به طوری که عوامل نرم افزار کامپیوتر می توانند انجام وظایف پیچیده برای کاربران. وب معنایی، ایجاد برنامه هایی را که محتوای وب را از منابع مختلف جمع آوری می کنند، ترویج اطلاعات و تبادل نتایج با برنامه های دیگر، ترویج خواهد کرد. کسب و کار به کسب و کار ممکن است تبدیل به مهم ترین منطقه کاربرد فن آوری وب معنایی از نظر حجم بازار در طول دهه آینده. به منظور کسب و کار الکترونیکی، باید یکپارچه سازی زنجیره های عرضه خود را به فن آوری وب معنایی برای حمایت از وب جدید، پردازش های کسب و کار باید تجزیه و تحلیل و retooled شود. چارچوب های جدید باید توسعه یافته و تکنیک های اطلاعات به روز شده برای جا به جا کردن زبان نشانه گذاری قابل گسترش (XML). درصد زیادی از سنتی مدیریت زنجیره تامین (SCM) به مدیریت زنجیره تامین الکترونیک مهاجرت می کند، در حالی که اجرای زنجیره تأمین از طریق وب، ضروری برای هر شرکت یا صنعت برای زنده ماندن است.
