Recently the experience of recent near source earthquakes such as Northridge, Kobe and Tabas earthquakes have shown that the structures re more vulnerable in the near source earthquakes. This has also shown in many studies. The main reason for that is due to a strong and long period velocity pulse which generates in the near-field (NF) earthquakes. Base isolation systems are one of the methods for reducing the damage and vulnerable in the near source earthquakes, seismic isolation system increase period of vibration which reduce seismic force and the amount of energy transferred into the structure. In this paper, a parametric study has been carried out to study the behavior of based isolated concrete buildings in the near source earthquakes. One base isolated concrete building with 6 stories is considered. The behavior of selected structure has been studied using nonlinear dynamic analysis under three near and three far field (FF) earthquake recorders. A parametric study of various value of stiffness for the base isolation has been studied as well. The results have shown that the responses of building in the NF are very much than FF earthquakes, and the use of base isolation system reduces the base shear and story acceleration of building in NF in contrast FF, but displacement increased. Also the parametric study on the stiffness of base isolation showed that, decreasing stiffness of isolator’s causes the base shear and story acceleration reduced, but this subject for story displacements is not valid

Antimicrobial peptides (AMP) are a promising source of antibiotics with a broad spectrum activity against bacteria and low incidence of developing resistance. The mechanism by which an AMP executes its function depends on a set of computable physicochemical properties from the amino acid sequence. The Peptides package was designed to allow the quick and easy computation of ten structural characteristics own of the antimicrobial peptides, with the aim of generating data to increase the accuracy in classification and design of new amino acid sequences.

In this communication, we first report experimental hydrate dissociation pressures for the methane/ carbon dioxide + furan/ acetone/ 1,4- dioxane + water and the methane + tetra n-butyl ammonium chloride (TBAC) + water as well as the methane /carbon dioxide + tetra n-butyl ammonium floride (TBAF) + water systems in the temperature ranges of (269.9 to 303.3) K. An isochoric pressure-search method was used to generate the experimental data. The hydrate dissociation data are compared with the corresponding literature data and the predictions of a previously reported thermodynamic model and acceptable agreement is observed

The equilibrium compositions and properties of CO2/CH4/1,4-dioxane/water hydrate were studied for the first time at temperatures ranging from 273.65 to 281.35K and pressures ranging from 0.5 to 1.1MPa. The gas mixture consist of about 45% CO2 was used to be an exemplary for biogas and landfill gas operations. Equilibrium hydrate formation conditions for above system were measured. 1,4-Dioxane lowered equilibrium pressure by 2MPa comparing with pure water at some temperatures. This is an indication that structural transition from SI to SII was occurred
Prediction of Gas Hydrate Dissociation Point by Using Different Equations of State and Mixing Rules in binary systems

In this work, the ability of different equation of states and mixing rules for prediction of hydrate formation pressure, are compared. For this urpose, by using Van der Waals–Plauteeuw model for solid hydrate phase and six equation of states for calculation of fugacity of components in as and liquid phases, the pressure of hydrate formation in different mixtures have been calculated by three different mixing rules Van der Waals, anesh and GNQ, then by comparison of calculated results with experimental data, determined the accuracy of mixing rules and EOSs. Studied ystems contain binary mixtures CH4, C2H6, C3H8, i-C4H10, N2, CO2, and H2S with water in hydrate forming conditions. The interaction parameters in each mixture have been optimized by using two phase equilibrium data and then the optimized parameters have been used for three phase equilibrium calculations. Comparison of the calculated pressure of hydrate forming with experimental pressure shows that for most of binary mixtures in studied temperature and pressure ranges, GNQ mixing rule with average percent of error 7% has more accuracy than three other mixing rules Van der Waals and Danesh, and among of EOSs, SRK equation of state is better than others and using from YU-LU equation of state be not suggested
