“Greening” the marketing mix: do firms do it and does it pay off?
Growing concern abou
رایگان!Growing concern about the sustainability of the natural environment is rapidly transforming the competitive landscape and forcing companies to explore the costs and benefits of “greening” their marketing mix. We develop and test a theoretical model that predicts (1) the role of green marketing programs in influencing firm performance, (2) the impact of slack resources and top management risk aversion on the deployment of such programs, and (3) the conditioning effects that underpin these relationships. Our analyses show that green marketing programs are being implemented by firms, and we find evidence of significant performance payoffs. Specifically the results indicate that green product and distribution programs positively affect firms’ productmarket performance, while green pricing and promotion practices are directly positively related to firms’ return on assets. In addition, industry-level environmental reputation moderates the links between green marketing program components and firms’ product-market and financial performance. Finally, we find that slack resources and top management risk aversion are independently conducive to the adoption of green marketing programs—but operate as substitutes for each other.

3D & three phase’s micromechanical constitutive model for the Uniaxial compression test of concrete
The mechanical behav...
رایگان!The mechanical behavior of concrete materials is strongly influenced by its microstructure. The macroscopic properties of concrete materials such as strength and stiffness are dependent on the properties micromechanics. The advance of composite mechanics and advanced computing technologies has made possible the micromechanical analysis of concrete materials.. In the first status of micromechanical modeling with special emphasis on the advantage and disadvantage of each model is presented. The current paper focuses on the geometrical description and numerical simulation of normalweight concrete at the mesoscale. In the first part the numerical representation of concrete at the mesoscale is introduced. The internal structure of concrete is considered at the micro level, and is treated as a three phase material comprised of aggregate particle, matrix, and the aggregatematrix interfaces The generation of the mesoscale geometry, the finite element discretisation and the applied material laws Whit micro plane theory are described. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the macroscopic behavior and Progressive failure of concrete materials under static loading, as influenced by the properties of its constituents at the meso level.

3D Action Recognition from Novel Viewpoints
We propose a human p
رایگان!We propose a human pose representation model that transfers human poses acquired from different unknown views to a view-invariant high-level space. The model is a deep convolutional neural network and requires a large corpus of multiview training data which is very expensive to acquire. Therefore, we propose a method to generate this data by fitting synthetic 3D human models to real motion capture data and rendering the human poses from numerous viewpoints. While learning the CNN model, we do not use action labels but only the pose labels after clustering all training poses into k clusters. The proposed model is able to generalize to real depth images of unseen poses without theneed for re-training or fine-tuning. Real depth videos are passed through the model frame-wise to extract viewinvariant features. For spatio-temporal representation, we propose group sparse Fourier Temporal Pyramid which robustly encodes the action specific most discriminative output features of the proposed human pose model. Experiments on two multiview and three single-view benchmark datasets show that the proposed method dramatically outperforms existing state-of-the-art in action recognition

A beam–column joint element for analysis of reinforced concrete frame structures
Earthquake reconnais
رایگان!Earthquake reconnaissance and laboratory tests reveal that the beam–column joints of existing RC frame structures in China are susceptible to failure, leading to severe structural damage. However, the inelastic response of joint elements is rarely considered in structural analysis or design. A new joint element considering shear deformation and bar-slip behaviour was proposed and verified using an extensive experimental data set. Two RC frame specimens with different details were modelled with the joint element and their simulated seismic responses were compared with experimental results in terms of global and local performance. Based on the simulation, the joint element proved to be reliable and suitable for 2D structural modelling. Finally, two reinforced concrete frame structures with the same dimensions and reinforcement ratios but different ductility are modelled with and without the proposed joint elements. The proposed joint element was shown to accurately predict the mechanical behaviour of such structures and their components, especially the hysteresis behaviour. Analysis shows that joint failure tends to happen in low- ductility structures and will reduce the ductility and the energy dissipation ability of the structure, even cause structural collapse. Compared with the new designed structures, seismic performance of the low-ductility ones is worse, with poor energy dissipation, weak collapse resistance and brittle failure modes

رایگان!In this paper, a routing protocol which utilizes the characteristics of Bluetooth technology is proposed for Bluetooth-based mobile ad hoc networks. The routing tables are maintained in the master devices and the routing zone radius for each table is adjusted dynamically by using evolving fuzzy neural networks. Observing there exists some useless routing packets which are helpless to build the routing path and increase the network loads in the existing ad hoc routing protocols, we selectively use multiple unicasts or one broadcast when the destination device is out of the routing zone radius coverage of the routing table. The simulation results show that the dynamic adjustment of the routing table size in each master device results in much less reply time of routing request, fewer request packets and useless packets compared with two representative protocols, Zone Routing Protocol and Dynamic Source Routing

A case study of critique: Critical perspectives on critical accounting
As accounting academ
رایگان!As accounting academics, we have a responsibility to act in the public interest as conscience, critic and counselor of society regarding economic, social and environmental justice. In fulfilling this responsibility, we are concerned with how accounting, accountants, and accountability regimes can facilitate democracy by serving the needs of pluralistic communities, giving particular attention to the various underserved constituencies. Informed by Flyvbjerg’s (2001) notion of phronetic social science research that matters, we reviewed 353 articles published in Critical Perspectives on Accounting from 1990 to 2014 identifying the focal constituency(s), the injustice(s) addressed, the groups or institutions responsible for the injustice as well as the proposals for social and political praxis outlined in the studies. Our review indicates that generally the studies identify a somewhat focused, though salient and appropriate, set of economic, social and/or environmental injustices experienced by various constituencies, and to some extent, the studies consider the context and conditions that perpetuate the inequality and injustices. However, as the field matures, there is a need for more robust development of the social and political implications of critical accounting research and for articulating the ideas and implications as action programs. Further, our review suggests that several relevant constituencies such as nonhuman animals, children, future generations, developing nations, and gender and sex/ uality minorities have received little or no attention in the current literature.
