ABSTRACT
Access to information on the depth and geometric dimensions of the scour hole formed at the bottom of the ski jump is important in determining the safety of the dams and adjacent structures. Recent research has been very important in this regard. Despite the many experiments that have been carried out over several decades to predict the dimensions of the scour hole and there have been many relationships, due to the complexity of this phenomenon and the limitations of the traditional regression methods, unfortunately, their results show a great deal of difference. In this research, the prominent features of cavity geometry that represent the general pattern of scour hole in the equilibrium phase are predicted and analyzed using the Comparative Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Model (ANFIS) and the method of reducing clustering. The maximum depth, width and area of maximum scouring parameters are predicted with respect to the edge of the cup, along with the distance between the first and the end of the hole relative to the edge of the cup and the length of the scour hole. For the development of computational models, a variety of data from two experimental studies was provided. In order to evaluate the accuracy of the neuro-fuzzy model, the results were compared with nonlinear regression equations. The effectiveness of prediction models was evaluated in the form of statistical criteria and scatter plot diagrams between predicted and observed values in the test data set. ANFIS was then used to analyze the sensitivity in order to identify the composition of the next and the next input parameters in estimating the geometry of the scour hole. The results of this study indicate the superiority and satisfaction of the neuro-fuzzy model in predicting the downstream scour pattern of ski jumps. The results of the sensitivity analysis also show that the two common parameters of discharge intensity and drop height (total head) are for Precise prediction of scour hole characteristics is not sufficient.
INTRODUCTION
The energy dissipation at the bottom of a spillway is usually ensured by constructing a skier jump (launching cup) as an end-to-end hydraulic structure that draws the jet far from the edge of the bowl into the air and then into the plunge pool created at the point of impact at the bottom Hand throws. The main problem with such structures is that if the jet out of the cup at high speed on a bed that includes gravel, gravel, or rock is loose and interconnected, deep scour holes are created at the bottom of the structure.
