ABSTRACT
In this study, with the finite element method, using ABAQUS / CAE software, a parametric study was carried out on two-dimensional concrete retaining walls. These studies include studies on soil modulus parameters, soil friction angle, soil and wall friction angle, soil and concrete gravity and soil damping. In order to investigate the effect of these parameters, the maximum horizontal displacement of the wall during the earthquake was considered as one of the system responses for comparison. By analyzing the results, it was determined that by increasing the angle of internal friction of the soil (40-˚30), the friction angle of the soil and the wall, (10-20˚C), the soil modulus (80-MPa140), soil density (14-20 KN / m3 Concrete density (20-26KN / m3) and soil drip (3-7%) had 25% reduction, 28% reduction, 8% reduction, 60% increase, 7% reduction and 19% reduction.
INTRODUCTION
Despite the many advances in seismic geotechnical engineering, the occurrence of various types of failure and instability in guardian structures due to earthquakes is still a subject, due to lack of adequate understanding of the behavior of materials, including walls and soil, under the influence of dynamic loading, lack of knowledge of the mechanism The failure of soil and the lack of mastery of the right ways to cope with these problems. Guard walls are often used to hold vertical hemispheres. Examples include the walls covering the edges of the highways, the coastal walls in the harbors, or the walls of the temporary or permanent excavations for undergrounds or undergrounds. The design of such structures for static loading with soil pressure and soil pressure is simple. Mononobe and Matsu performed several experiments using a box of sand. The box was located under the influence of horizontal acceleration and the maximum lateral pressures were measured. The experimental values for the soil pressure factor in the dynamic state obtained from these experiments were in good agreement with the results of mono-oboe-ocque theory. Jacobson also experimented with a 3ft-high wall with sandy sand dunes behind it. Following this wall was subject to regular dynamic fluctuations. The values of the soil pressure factor obtained from the results of these experiments for the values of Kh = 0/45 are in good agreement with the results of the mono-obo-ocube theory. For Kh> 0, 45, the experimental values were significantly lower than the results of the mono-oboe-ocaba theory.
