ABSTRACT
Steel 1.2344, also known as H13, is a well-known category of steel tools that are widely used in the manufacture of various types of forging and die-casting molds. Because the molds made of these steel are tempered and mechanically and thermally stressed, therefore Due to the amount of available gases and harmful gases, such as hydrogen gas, the distinction of steel is an effective parameter for increasing the efficiency of the molds. In the present study, the effect of hydrogen gas on the mechanical properties of steel H13 tool has been investigated. The results of tensile tests of samples with different amounts of hydrogen show that the presence of hydrogen content above 4ppm in the steel creates a crisp brittleness and reduces the stress of submission, the stress tensile stress and steel malleability.
INTRODUCTION
In many technical and physical applications, it is important to know how to effect and the mechanism of hydrogen action. The presence of hydrogen in steel affects its mechanical properties and, in general, reduces malleability and raises the tendency to create crisp brittleness or crack formation. Research on hydrogen brittleness shows that this fracture is a combination of two effects. One of the weaknesses of the network adhesion and the other, creating a very high internal pressure in microscopic cracks and adjacent to the admixture, is the primary effect of the predisposing factor of fragile fragility for low concentrations of hydrogen (<1ppm), but when the concentration of hydrogen is high and about 1-2ppm or more Internal pressures are a factor in frailty. The above two factors are able to reduce the tensile stress required to develop a new microscopic crack germ. When the hydrogen inside the bud is a microscopic crack, superficial energy decreases due to reduced internal bonding and, as a result, decreases the tensile stress. Due to the fact that hydrogen pressure also causes an excess stress, this leads to a reduction in the tensile stress. In this way, even 1-2 ppm of hydrogen is sufficient to allow its atoms to move along the path to the microscopic cracks (hollows or boundaries) and create a H2 molecule thereby increasing the pressure of the hydrogen gas.
